Last month several Management and System Engineering students participated in the 40th Annual Regional IISE Student Conference that was held at the University of Toronto.The University of Toronto’s IISE chapter hosted the conference by planning speaker sessions, social events and competitions including a technical paper, a simulation competition, a case competition, and several other surprise competitions to help support students in their professional, academic, and social aspects of their careers.

A huge congratulations to Karthik Prasad, Emma Lin, Geerthika Senthilmanoharan, and Caitlan Krasinski for winning second place in the DHL Analytics Competition and to Reed Rogers, Alyssa Hopkins, Sarah McCurdy, and Allison Jacobs for earning second place in the theoretical exam. The UWaterloo chapter also won first place in the Kahoot surprise competition! 

Our team wants to thank all the delegates and competitors that participated and represented UWaterloo at the conference. We can’t wait for the 41st IISE Annual Regional Student Conference that will be held at Ryerson University next year! We hope that everyone enjoyed their time at the conference and see you once again next year!
