Hi, I’m Pallavi one of the Co-Presidents of UWaterloo IISE! I first became involved with IISE when I attended tprofessionalhe Waterloo IIE Conference in 2016. Since then I’ve had the chance to go to IISE conferences in Anaheim and Halifax, and have met tons of great people along the way. I joined IISE because of my passion for Management Engineering and because I wanted to help others receive the same opportunities for professional and social growth that the organization has given me thus far. This will be my second term serving as Co-President, and I look forward to continuing to build a successful and sustainable chapter!

Hi I’m Ghazal Malekanian and going to be the Finance Director this term. This is my first term joining IISE and I’m hoping to learn and build on the success the team has already had. Having already seen such great success from the IISE team so far, I’m excited to see all that will be accomplished this year!

Hi, I’m Soorya! I’m the A stream Operations Director for UWaterloo IISE, and I’m responsible for running social and professional events this year. I am currently in my second year of studying Management Engineering, and my passion for the program made me want to be a part of the Exec team for IISE. I attended conference as a delegate in my first year, and I got to meet so many new people, and I had a great time. I’m very excited to be a part of the team, and I hope to give students the opportunities to develop their skills, and get the most out of their university experience.

Operations Director: Sunrise Long

Hey I’m Sunrise, the Operations director for IISE. This is my first year with the chapter but hope to draw from my experience in other leadership positions. Last winter I had the pleasure of attending the IISE Conference in Halifax as a delegate. I loved how the organization connects students and industry leaders to discover the endless industrial engineering possibilities. I joined the chapter because I’m fascinated with industrial and management engineering. I think there is something so interesting about taking multifaceted systems and distilling it down into one refined structure. I champion sustainable long term growth and hope lead the chapter in that direction.
